Happy 2011!!! You’ve made it another year.

I am proud to announce that we have officially launched our newest website www.europesbestshopfitters.com

This is a website developed initially to target the market in the U.K. We have had great success with our client Lemon Women’s Fashion stores in the U.K. and now are more convinced than ever that the business model works and that we have alot to offer retailers in Europe. We officially blasted off on January 1, 2011. More to come on that.

Canada’s Best Store Fixtures will be exhibiting in the New York International Gift Fair at The Jacob Javits Convention Centre, Piers 92 and 94. The show takes place from January 29th to February 3rd. The show is targeted at the Gift and Stationary Industry and is the biggest of its kind in North America. Please come and visit us at booth 1867 if you find yourself in the neighbourhood. I’ll be attaching pics of the show upon my return.

We will be attending the Euroshop Fixture Show in Dusseldorf, Germany February 26th to March 2nd. This is the largest store fixturing show in the world and is held once every three years. All of the world’s top retailers and providers will be there. It is an excellent place to display and recruit innovation. It is a key part of our overall strategy to share our knowledge base of creative and leading edge ideas with our key clients.

We will also be attending the Globalshop Fixture Show in Las Vegas, Nevada March 28th to 30th. This is the second largest store fixturing show and is held every year at this time. This a great place to network with the leading retailers and producers in North America and make my annual contribution to the Las Vegas casino charities.

The senior management team here has just wrapped up forecasting for 2011 and it looks like it is going to be the biggest year to date for CBSF. I don’t want to count chickens before they are hatched, but this is as a result of the hard work of our top notch team and our never ending dedication to customer service.

In an effort to further round out our full service offering to our clients, we have recently purchased the latest in Wide Format Ink Jet Printing and Cutting equipment. This will again make us even more competitive and versatile for our retail partners. Give us a try.

Big retail news of the year happened early with Target Stores finally announcing the purchase of the majority of the retail space operated by Zellers. I think this may hold the record for the longest running rumoured takeover in retail history. This will be a great addition to Canadian retail and will bring formidable competition to Walmart and other major retailers in this space.

Lastly, but certainly not least. The Green Bay Packers are coming to our house this weekend to try and stand in the way of the Chicago Bears Superbowl 2011. It ain’t gonna happen!!
