Globalshop, Kid’s Hockey and New Additions

Fresh back from the Globalshop Fixture Show in Las Vegas. The show has definitely scaled down from my first years attending back in Chicago, but it is still a great time to connect with customers and make a donation to the local casino charities. I’m not sure why they don’t give tax receipts out for those donations…
Anyhow, minor hockey is over and March break hockey school is on. I’ve finally got my Saturday mornings back to catch up on work. The CBSF Novice boys didn’t fair as well as we’d hoped. They lost a crucial playoff game to miss the final four. On high note, they had a wicked game of laser tag after the season was over to celebrate their new friendships.
The CBSF Mites finished strong and all of the little 5/6 year olds got alot better over the year.
Junior Morris had an extremely good year and got tapped for the Vaughan Rangers rep team for next season. Extremely exciting and he is pumped about it. Although, it is something that I said I’d never do and I’ll probably have to hire someone to take him to the arena as its not like I’ve got alot of extra time on my hands, but it sure is exciting to see him enjoy it so much with a natural talent.
I’m heading back to China next week to final inspect a couple of large volume orders that we have going through as well as qualify a couple new factories that are coming on line. Its a long trip and I always dread the catch up time afterward, but it is an essential part of our business in todays global economy.
The Olympics are over and what a showing by the Canadians. Do you believe that final game?? Amazing!!! The stuff dreams are made of.
We’ve got some new additions to the CBSF team in Jim Salema as Director of New Business Development and Ron Blades as Estimating Manager. Two fantastic people that know our business inside and out and are ready to make a difference in our customer experience.
We’re proud to have further diversified our business model and expanded our product offering by partnering with Netversity Solutions Inc. Netversity is a full service provider of computer hardware solutions for commercial applications. We will be manufacturing the computer server racks, cabinets and cable management products that further enhance Netversity’s quality, customer service centric value proposition.

Leafs are out of the playoffs, Go Canadian Teams Go!!!
